Prenatal Visits

 

I provide 2 prenatal visits to each of my clients after the initial interview. During these visits I assist you in making your birthplan by giving you evidence based information to help you decide the birth expirience you want. I will also use these visits to practice some techniques that will come in handy during labor, as well as discuss previous births you may have had to help you decide what you might like to do differently, and how I can best advocate for you.

On-Call Availability

 

Birth can be unpredictable and stressful. You don’t need to add stress to your pregnancy by worrying if your doula is going to be around when you actually go into labor! As your doula, I will be on call starting in your 37th week of pregnancy and if there is a situation where I have to be away I will make sure a backup doula is ready to assist you.

Continuous Labor Support

 

I will be with you throughout the entirety of your labor and delivery, offering physical, emotional, and educational support, providing you the space and information you need to make the decisions that are right for you and your baby. Labor can last awhile, but my services don’t come with a time limit. As your doula, I will stay until after you have delivered your baby, no matter how long it takes.

Breast-Feeding support

 

If breastfeeding is what you want to try with your new little one, I will stay and help you until you get a good first latch, as well as show you some of the best natural breastfeeding positions that will make breastfeeding better for you and your baby.

Postpartum Checkup

 

I visit all of my clients once postpartum just to check in and go over the birth! I will check how you are doing, watch the baby so you can get a quick nap or shower, and see how breastfeeding is going if that is your feeding method. If needed I will refer you to community resources to help fill any needs that may arise.

Add-on Services

Additional services can be requested for an additional fee. These services include Tens unit rental, breastfeeding classes, and post-partum care classes.
